In this bucolic corner of the hinterland, this former railway station has lost none of its character of yesteryear, with the added bonus of an incredible view over the valley. The home-style cuisine relies on local farmers for its ingredients, such as Frank Clémens' incredible smoked ham served with a generous portion of asparagus. Of course, we couldn't resist the beef cheek braised in red wine which, as we wrote back in 2022, is as tender as an angel's rear. Rustic perhaps! But so well executed that it deserves the title of 'Traditional Local Restaurant 2024'.
