When you walk in, you can’t fail but notice that this was once a butcher’s, the maturing cabinet displaying fine meats carefully selected by the now chef, Guy Kirsch. The restaurant seems to have found its cruising speed with traditional brasserie dishes such as the elegant egg parfait with vegetables and broth, while the nostalgic simplicity of the crispy Brussels waffle with strawberries and whipped cream takes us back to childhood. It's classic, it's rural, but it's perfectly executed and the service is jovial and attentive.
